Here is where the work begins.  This will be a good test of your abilities to even be able to do college work.  As the prime member of your community it is totally up to you to be able to follow directions and build your own personal network of college coaches, high school coaches and high school counselors.  What separates CollegeVideoScout from other recruiting websites is the ability to have your profile reviewed and approved by both your high school coach and counselor before it can be released for public viewing by college coaches.  This is where following directions is crucial to being successful in your quest to receive a scholarship.  You will need to sit down and talk with your coaches and guidance counselors and explain that you want to go on to college and will need them to approve your profile so you can start sending your info out to colleges.  You will need your coach and counselors to register for their free membership home page where they can check on your progress at building your profile, communicate directly to you on your private community message system and then finally give you their seal of approval, on your profile that guarantees that all your athletic, musical and academic information is true and accurate.

HOW IT WORKS
It is most important to follow these instructions, or your FREE Player Profile will not be seen by any college coaches

1. Since there are three sports seasons CollegeVideoScout provides student-athletes that will need three Player Profiles the tools to build three Player Profiles. All player profiles have to be approved by the High School Coach and the student-athlete’s Guidance Counselor.
   
   
2. Student –Athletes will have to get the High School Coach and Guidance Counselors to REGISTER for a FREE membership ( IF THEY HAVENT DONE SO ALREADY) that includes the ID/Email of the coach and counselor.  This membership provides the coaches and counselors a home page where they can communicate with each other.  This home page is where they will approve your profile.
   
   

3. It is MOST important that all the USER ID/EMAILs are correct… if your not getting contacted by a coach or counselor FOR APPROVAL, then more than likely they entered in an incorrect ID/EMAIL.  If that is the case then the coaches and counselors will not be able to utilize the system to communicate with each other or the student – athletes.
   
   REMEMBER IF YOUR A GUIDANCE COUNSELOR AND A COACH YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER FOR 2 MEMBERSHIPS WITH 2 DIFFERENT E-MAIL/IDs SO THAT THE PLAYERS ACADEMIC & ATHLETIC  PROFILE CAN BE APPROVED
   
   

4. Once the student athlete is registered they can start to build their FREE player Profile.  If your familiar with the Myspace & Youtube interface, then you will have no problem building your FREE player profile.  You will be able to upload as many videos and photos as you want.
   
   
5. Student-athletes, guidance counselors, high school and college coaches will be able to privately communicate with each other…. nobody will know your personal business.
   
   
6. Student-athletes, guidance counselors, high school and college coaches will be able to do searches for each other by NAME, by EMAIL/ID AND by HIGH SCHOOL
   
   
7. Only those guidance counselors, high school coaches and students that have been contacted by college coaches, who are members, will be able to send and receive messages to a college coach.  College Coaches don’t want to be constantly bothered by members that they haven’t first contacted.
   
   
8. College Coaches will be first contacted by the student-athlete by email with a introduction letter with his personal information and inviting the college coach to register with CollegeVideoScout to view your FREE Player Profile
